A review the movie a trip to jamacia

The much anticipated movie, premiered in Lagos on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the filmhouse IMAX cinema in leink, Lagos. The movie was shot in Nigeria, American and Jamaica, and it features stars like Chris Attoj , Patoranking, Cynthia Morgan, Funke Akindele, and Ay. With so much noise being made about this movie, one would had expected a great turnout, but the opposite is the case, as this movie was a flop. Since I  never liked 30 days in Atlanta, I didn't expect this to be any different. This movie is a mediocre comedy movie, it didn't offer me any moment of laughter. As expected the movie has lots of flat jokes that makes it unexciting to watch. Nse ikpe Etims interpretation of her character Abigail was not convincing. As expected Ay interpretation of the akpors character was full of exaggeration. Am sure everyone was hoping for Funke Akindele to save the movie, but just like the rest of the character's her performers wasn't impressive. I didn't quite underst

THE RATE OF NUDITY IN AFRICAN MOVIES

The rate at which nudity has become rampant in our movies is becoming alarming. Back then growing up as a kid I comfortably watch a movie with my parents and gain positively from it, but our present generation has gone out of hand. The kind of movies that you see ever day on tv and in the market is nothing to write home about, one can't even differentiate a blue fillm from an ordinary one. I feel so sorry for our movie industries, cause we have lost our ways, we have gone from sharing our culture to the rest of the world to selling sex in movies. It is so bad that I have to preview a movie first before sharing it with my family members.

ACTOR OF THE DAY

Today we would be celebrating a lady who have paid her mark in the industry.A lady whose acting power cannot be contested, she takes anything given to her and turn it into something beautiful.I grew up watching this lady and I must say she has come a long way.I remember back then I use to think she was sick, because she was so slim.Am sure by now some of you already know who am talking about. It's the one and only "Kalsum Sinare".Staring in more than a dozen nollywood and Hollywood movies, she us an outstanding actress who can play any role excellently. One of my favorite movie of hers is Her Excellency. If you havent seen the movie well what can I say, she is my actor of the day

Nollywood or igbohood

For sometime now I have noticed that the movies that are being produced in nollywood especially the locally made OceaNA "aba made" are always centered on the igbo culture. Sometimes I find it difficult to differentiate an igbo movie from an ordinary Nigerian movie. The choice of language, the dressing,  and even the display of culture seems to be only around one side of the country, I mean there are so many ethnic groups in the country why center the industry around just one. Even tractors are not left out as most of the actors in nollywood are igbo speeking, and it's almost impossible for a different to be seen there. I think it's high time something is done about this.
